I actually corresponded with Rope.com customer service for advice on which diameter cord to use for my application, and they responded promptly. I use this cord on a 3/8” KMIII static rope. I tie a distel hitch with it. It is my primary connection to the static line, and serves as an autoblock when used in conjunction with a figure 8 for rappelling. It grabs very securely, but releases easily when I need it to.
