Fly features an ideally balanced structure made up of a polyester cover and a polyamide core. Fly is engineered to stay firm and round, which significantly reduces any glazing that can occur when ropes flatten out in hardware. Yet, the rope remains supple enough to offer good knotability and hold knots well.
