evModbus Features                                                  1 of 1

evModbus makes modbus systems available to the web. evModbus reads and writes modbus data directly to a MySQL database as the data changes. Your web pages can be updated as often as you need based on this data. evModbus also reads MySQL to see if set points or controls have changed. These changes are then written to the proper modbus devices.  See evModbus Help.

OPERATION
1. Polls modbus slave devices.
2. Writes changes to MySQL.
3. Reads MySQL for set point changes and writes set points back to slave devices.

The purpose of this product is to create a real time database that easily interfaces to the WEB. Once data has been written to MySQL; PHP, Java, Perl and other tools can read this data, display it, and trend it. evModbus also reads data that is written to MySQL. Now you can submit set points and on/off controls using evModbus from the WEB.

The Setup Form is selected by clicking on the Poll, RX, TX, Serial, TCP or SQL buttons.  Once your setup is complete evModbus will run continuously to collect your modbus data and store it in MySQL.

Setup your modbus receive list by adding rows and filling in the grid values.  Or you can import from Rugid source code or from Events projects.  Once the receive list is filled, click the Build Poll button, to fill in your poll list automatically.

Configure MySQL after you have set up your receive and transmit modbus lists.

evModbus writes data to MySQL when the modbus data changes and on time.  The data is written to the sensors table and to the history table.  Complete details on these tables are shown in the help file.
